WOONSOCKET – CVS Health Corp. has become an Official Health & Wellness Partner of League One Volleyball – known as LOVB and pronounced as “love” – a Los Angeles-based professional women’s volleyball league.
As a health and wellness partner, CVS Health and LOVB will collaborate on health-focused programming, community engagement and fan experiences. Additionally, the healthcare company will serve as the league’s first-ever jersey patch sponsor, with every LOVB Pro team wearing a CVS logo on their jerseys this upcoming season, according to a Sept. 1 announcement from the league.
“Together, we can help inspire and support athletes and families nationwide by investing in programs that strengthen physical and mental well-being, build community, and create opportunities for young people to thrive. As women’s volleyball continues to grow, we’re proud to partner with LOVB to create meaningful opportunities and lasting positive impact for the next generation,” Sid Tenneti, CVS Health’s senior vice president and interim president of pharmacy and consumer wellness, said in the announcement.
Through the partnership, CVS Health will also support LOVB Notes, a monthly email series in which LOVB Pro athletes offer free advice and motivational content to up-and-coming volleyball players. CVS Health will also offer “everyday essentials and support” through pop-ups at select LOVB Club tournaments.
“CVS shares our belief that strong communities create stronger futures and we couldn’t think of a better brand to proudly display on our hearts. This sponsorship allows us to empower athletes, support families, and make a lasting impact both on and off the court,” Michelle McGoldrick, LOVB chief business officer, said in the release.
