Dennis Moffitt Painting 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Makeover Giveaway
September 21, 2010 (Wakefield, RI)- Dennis Moffitt Painting is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Makeover Giveaway. Nominations will be accepted for deserving families in need of help with home repairs. The South County based company will select one recipient, based on need, to receive free labor and materials from several local participating community companies.
Last year’s event turned out to be a huge success for the Ray Wilkinson, the winner, and his family. Ray has been the custodian at the Peace Dale Elementary school for over 15 years. The teachers nominated Ray and were delighted to donate their time too to help spruce up the bungalow built in 1890. Over 40 local companies joined in to donate labor, materials and gift certificates. The event grew to include a landscaping makeover, an interior re-design and repaint, a donation of 150 gallons of home heating oil and a re-built front porch among some of the larger items.
This economy has been like no other that we have seen in our lifetime; DMP wants to help its local community by providing free services to a family struggling with financial burden. The company is seeking nominations from anyone in the community who knows of a family working hard and yet still struggling to make ends meet. This is a great way to spread good will through the community.
Winner to be announced at the winner’s home, on Halloween afternoon, by owners of Dennis Moffitt Painting, Dennis and Michael Moffitt. Work to be scheduled for November and winner will be presented into their newly repaired home on Thanksgiving morning.
