PAWTUCKET – Doherty’s Irish Pub on East Avenue has closed for good after filing for bankruptcy, WPRI-TV CBS 12 reported Aug. 7. Thomas Quinn, a lawyer representing Doherty’s, told WPRI-TV the restaurant had been experiencing ongoing financial problems and ceased operations July 31. The future of the city location has not been determined, he said.
