Roughly one month from Rhode Island’s primary election, a poll taken by Roger Williams University and WPRI-TV CBS 12 says that the governor’s race is a statistical dead heat between incumbent Gov. Gina M. Raimondo, who is running for the Democratic nomination, and Cranston Mayor Allan W. Fung, who seems to be the leading contender on the Republican side. With the general election three months away, and at least one independent candidate, former R.I. Rep. Joseph A. Trillo, expected to be on the ballot as well, the time to choose who will be the Ocean State’s next governor is fast approaching. Who do you think it should be?
