D. Matthew Rieger is professor and chair of the department of physics and engineering at the Community College of Rhode Island. This past fall, the college’s physics and engineering department partnered with North Kingstown High School to launch a free advanced manufacturing program for high school students interested in earning a manufacturing and design certificate.
