PROVIDENCE – Foresight Science & Technology Inc. has hired David Snyder as the new director of its commercialization practice.
Prior to joining the commercialization and technology-transfer firm, Snyder served as vice president of technology commercialization at Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), the Fortune 500 technology giant and defense contractor headquartered in Tysons Corner, Va.
“As a former client of Foresight Science & Technology, I was impressed with the value and usefulness of their services,” Snyder said in a news release. “I’m glad to join a diverse group of professionals who have so much to contribute to an important mission for our country – creating revenue from new technologies.”
Foresight offers consulting and Web services that support a variety of businesses and institutions, both public and private. Foresight says it commercializes more than 500 new technologies in industries and markets worldwide each year.
Snyder holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s in economics.
