PROVIDENCE – As part of its corporate “Can Do” campaign, Goya Foods Inc., based in Webster, Mass., donated 40,032 pounds of food to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank on March 28.
Per the Rhode Island Community Food Bank’s count, the donated food is valued at more than $30,000 and represents more than 33,000 meals for those in need.
The late March donation was made in the name of Shaw’s Supermarkets for its support of Goya’s campaign.
