PROVIDENCE – Im-aj Communications & Design Inc. was a winner twice over in the 2008 Summit Creative Awards, an international contest for firms with up to $30 million in annual billings.
It won a Silver Award for its work with Hasbro Children’s Hospital of Rhode Island, creating the logo for a 2008 fundraising gala; the annual event is the hospital’s largest, and the largest of its kind in southern New England. In its design, the firm strove “to balance the upscale nature of the event with the mission of the internationally acclaimed children’s hospital,” Im-aj said.
It took a bronze for another logo, created for the Rhode Island Housing HelpCenter. “The symbol was created to attract the attention of homeowners seeking help with their mortgages during this time of industry crisis, as well as renters in need of assistance,” the firm said. This year’s competition drew thousands of submissions from firms in 25 countries. Entries, in 21 categories, were judged by an international panel that included professionals from Canada, Croatia, Germany, Japan, Kuwait, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States.
