Janet L. Robinson has been appointed to the board of trustees and the board of directors of Bank-Newport. Robinson is the former president and CEO of The New York Times Co., where she held a variety of leadership positions during a 28-year span. Prior to that, she was a public school teacher in Newport and Somerset, Mass. Robinson holds a B.A. in English from Salve Regina University. •
