JAY FRECHETTE is Senior Vice President at Starkweather & Shepley Insurance Brokerage, where he leads the Marine Practice Group, a team of professionals dedicated to providing customized insurance solutions for the ocean marine industry. With over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Jay has developed a deep knowledge and expertise in marine insurance, risk management, and risk transfer strategies.
Jay’s mission is to help marine businesses, such as boat builders, dealers, repairers, marinas, yacht clubs, and contractors, transfer and manage their risk effectively and efficiently. He works closely with his clients to understand their specific needs and challenges, and to design insurance programs that protect their assets, liabilities, and operations, while having a positive impact on their bottom line. Jay is a trusted advisor and partner to his clients, and a valued leader and mentor to his team.
Jay currently sits on the Board of Directors of both the RI Marine Trades Association as well as the Providence Community Boating Center.
