MIDDLETOWN – A list of the “Coolest Car Gadgets for 2007” in a special BusinessWeek online report includes two KVH Industries products: the TracVision A7 satellite TV system and TracNet 100 mobile Internet receiver.
“Pretty much anything you might wish to hear, watch, or read – from your favorite TV shows and music to your day-to-day e-mail – can be moved to your car,” notes reporter Arik Hesseldahl in an accompanying article. He adds that today, “the most desirable technological toys are in-car high-speed wireless Internet connections and Wi-Fi hotspots.”
The TracVision A7 uses KVH’s patented hybrid phased-array antenna technology to offer a five-inch high, satellite TV system with up to 185 channels of DIRECTV service.
The TracNet 100 provides high-speed access to MSN TV Internet services, including e-mail, instant messaging, Web browsing, Internet radio, online games, and more.
