Kristine D. Williamson has joined Providence law firm Tillinghast Licht Perkins Smith & Cohen, LLP as associate in the environmental group. She was formerly legal counsel for the Department of Environmental Management (DEM) where she served as lead counsel for cases involving air, solid waste and medical waste. She also handled brownfields, site remediation, hazardous waste, oil spill and underground storage tank issues. She has served as Rhode Island Assistant Public Defender and is a former international judge. She presided over voting rights cases in Serb-occupied territory in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Williamson is a 1997 graduate of Vermont Law School. She received her masters in public administration from the University of Connecticut in 1993 and her undergraduate degree in public administration and political science from Rhode Island College in 1989. She resides in West Warwick.
