LGC&D’s Women Count sponsor Leading Women Breakfast Featuring Constance Howes

LGC&D’s Women Count sponsor the Leading Women Lessons In Leadership Breakfast, featuring Constance Howes, president and CEO of Woman & Infants.

PROVIDENCE (April 11, 2007) – The second week of April means crunch time in the world of public accounting, but that wasn’t enough to keep the women at Lefkowitz, Garfinkel, Champi & DeRienzo P.C. (LGC&D) in the office. Today, LGC&D’s Women Count sponsored Leading Women of Southeastern New England’s (LWSENE) “Lessons in Leadership” breakfast featuring keynote speaker Constance Howes, president and CEO of Women & Infants Hospital. Constance delivered a motivating and educational speech touching upon her own professional challenges and how she faced them from a position of positive outcomes and prevailed. A record 72 women attended the event held at Chelo’s Restaurant in Warwick, the highest in Leading Women’s history.

LGC&D, a public accounting and financial services firm based in Providence, formed Women Count to support the growing number of women within the firm and the business community. The Women Count mission is to cultivate relationships and expand business development opportunities with professional women in the business community while supporting and mentoring the firm’s female staff to become future leaders.

LGC&D’s Women Count has been supporting the efforts of LWSENE since August 2006. LWSENE offers a forum for women to network in an informal setting while learning valuable leadership skills while listening to success stories of professional women in the R.I. community.

LGC&D’s Women Count will be sponsoring a series of LWSENE breakfast meetings this fall. For more information about LGC&D?s Women Count, visit www.lgcd.com/women_count.htm.
