Mary Ellen Ahern, community services director for The Providence Journal
Company has been appointed to the Board of Trustees at The Providence Center.
She has served on numerous nonprofit boards throughout the years, most recently
serving on the boards of The Salvation Army, City Year Rhode Island, Youth in
Action Board of Mentors, Rhode Island Reads and the Urban League of Rhode Island.
Ahern is a graduate of Rhode Island College. She lives in Providence.
