Melanie Bell has been promoted to assistant vice president at NewportFed. Bell began her career with the bank in 2000 as a teller and has since served as senior teller and deposit operations clerk. Currently, she also holds the title of training officer. Bell attended the University of Rhode Island and is a resident of South Kingstown, where she serves on the board of directors of South Kingstown Cares. •
