What support programs has your company offered employees to help cope with the COVID-19 pandemic? We introduced an employee disaster relief program where staff can request a tax-free grant of either $500 or $1,000 per month to assist with additional expenses or a loss of family income. Staff are eligible to receive a grant for up to three months and are not required to pay back the grant.
What modifications have you made to your workplace to support employee wellness? For our wellness program, we restructured our on-site offerings to be held via webinars and took a close look at the schedule and moved things around to offer more meaningful topics during this time of uncertainty.
Do you have a preference for promoting existing staff or hiring from outside and why? Neighborhood prefers to promote existing staff for internal opportunities. Promotions increase employee engagement, enhance company morale and reduce turnover.
