NEWPORT – Four of the 16 condominiums at the Residences at Brown & Howard Wharf and Marina already had signed contracts before the mixed-use development’s official opening last weekend, and three more had contracts pending, according to Stonestreet Corp. LLC, the project’s Providence-based developer.

The first residents are expected to move in during July, although the project will not be fully completed until October. The condos, which average 2,900 square feet, are priced at $1.95 million to $3.7 million, according to Stonestreet.

The project also includes 1,500 linear feet of deepwater docks – able to handle megayachts up to 250 feet long – and 10,250 square feet of retail space.

The city approval process for the development took more than 20 years, according to Stonestreet. Newport Collaborative Architects Inc. served as lead architect for the project.

Stonestreet Corp. LLC, a full-service construction and management firm based in Providence, recently completed the Stone Harbour Condominiums and Marina in Bristol. For more information, visit www.stonestreetcorp.com.
