Volunteers from five organizations worked together last Monday to remove a barge that had been grounded on the Providence Harbor shore since the Hurricane of 1938.
The project, coordinated by Patrick T. Conley, owner of Providence Piers, was part of an effort by Clean the Bay to clean up Providence Harbor.
Also involved were R&P Construction, whose contributions included the use of an excavator, plus the City of Providence and Promet Marine.
