WARWICK – Mike Pappas, of Pappas Physical and Hand Therapy, was named the corporate chair of the 2017 Rhode Island Walk to Cure Arthritis by the Arthritis Foundation, according to a release on March 24.

Pappas explained there are more than 1,000 children and 227,000 adult Rhode Islanders living with arthritis.

“More must be done to help cure arthritis and raising money through the 2017 Rhode Island Walk to Cure Arthritis will help fund critical research,” said Pappas in a prepared statement.

Chosen for his strong leadership skills and dedication to the cause, in this role Pappas will lead the fundraising efforts of the R.I. Walk to Cure Arthritis toward its goal of $120,000.

The Arthritis Foundation’s Walk to Cure Arthritis is an annual nationwide fundraising event focused on accelerating the search for a cure and building a better quality of life for the 50 million Americans, including 300,000 children, living with this painful and debilitating disease.
