Wholesale power prices in New England
fell as forecasts of milder weather signaled less heating demand,
and lower natural-gas prices reduced fuel costs for generators.
Boston’s high temperature today will rise to 40 degrees
Fahrenheit from 31 yesterday, the National Weather
Service said. The normal high is 37.
Power for delivery today in Massachusetts dropped $7.43,
or 11 percent, to $66.19 a megawatt-hour on the Intercontinental
Exchange, an electronic energy market.
