PROVIDENCE – Providence Geeks will host a special August event sponsored by Kenzan, a computer and IT consulting company with offices in Pawtucket, New York, Denver and Los Angeles that offers software-engineering and professional services to help its clients innovate.
At the first-of-its-kind event, Geeks host Brian Jepson will bring a collection of 3-D printers and CAD workstations for attendees to play around with. The event will take place at Sons of Liberty Beer & Spirits Co. in Providence on Thursday, Aug. 31, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Kenzan, the event sponsor, will provide drinks and a selection of sandwiches from Tilly’s Cheesesteaks. Since the event will be hosted in a tasting room, attendees must be 21 or older to attend.
Topics of discussion will include startups, new devices, innovative business models, 3-D printing, interactive design, social computing, digital art, web services and more.
