Thomas J. McDonough has been appointed human resources director at the Providence Journal Company. He will be responsible for overall employee relations, including recruitment, hiring, labor relations and department organization. He has 18 years of experience with the Providence Journal Company, most recently as human resources manager and human resources administrator. Prior to that, he was a district manager in the newspaper’s circulation department. McDonough holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor of science degree, both in business administration from Providence College. He is a member of the Society or Human Resources Management and the Human Resources Management Association of Rhode Island.
