Raina C. Smith has been named director of communications for the office of Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis. Previously, Smith worked as a consultant for the Rhode Island Small Business Development Center. She serves on the board of directors for the Rhode Island Center for the Book. She holds a B.A. in communications from Rhode Island College. •
