DARTMOUTH – Data from the Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners places the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth School of Law, with a 92.6 percent pass rate, as No. 3 among Bay State law schools in passing the state bar exam.
The 8-year-old state program, which received full American Bar Association accreditation in 2016, exceeded the state average of 78.9 percent.
“These bar exam results are a reflection of the deep talent and genuine commitment of the law school’s faculty and staff,” UMass Law Dean Eric Mitnick said in prepared remarks. “Ultimately, though, it is the students who put in the long hours preparing for and then sitting for the exam. I am so proud of our students.”
Ranking No. 3 of nine Massachusetts-based law schools, the two law schools to outpace UMass Dartmouth’s first-time test-taker pass rate were Harvard University at No. 1 and Boston University at No. 2.
