NORTH PROVIDENCE – The R.I. E 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System Division’s executive director, Raymond LaBelle, this week announced an agreement between the system and the OnStar vehicle-monitoring network.
The agreement allows OnStar to transfer emergency calls from Rhode Island motorists to the statewide 911 call center for routing to appropriate first responders.
The company will provide the vehicle’s location and description.
