Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have risen by an average of 10 cents per gallon for the second straight week, and are now 40 cents higher than at the start of the year, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s April 10 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve unleaded regular averaging $2.65 per gallon, 10 cents more than last week and 20 cents more than just two weeks ago. A year ago at this time the average price was $2.18.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for regular unleaded is 25 cents, from a low of $2.55 to a high of $2.80. Motorists should continue to shop around for the best prices in their area, AAA said.
