Responding to business growth the company has experienced over the last few years, Colonial Printing Company, a privately owned printing firm in Cranston, has relocated to 333 Strawberry Field Road in Warwick. The new modern facility, at 39,000 square feet, is more than double the size of Colonial’s previous facility in Cranston.
Colonial has also purchased and installed a state-of-the-art, 40-inch, six-color printing press expected to enhance printing capabilities.
Faced with shifts taking place in the printing industry – particularly since the explosion of multi-color printing and specialty coating processes – Colonial says it was still able to expand by focusing on customer service initiatives.
“We are not selling printing services per se, but what we call integrated graphic communications,” said Ken Menna, company vice president. “We like to think that our customers can come to us with any project large or small.”
Colonial also expanded its prepress and finishing departments and equipment to support the new 40-inch press.
