This summer, millions of passengers on US Airways will have some new reading material – Rhode Island will be featured in Attache, US Airways’ in-flight magazine.
The Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation made the announcement yesterday. The magazine’s June 2004 edition will feature news about the race featuring America’s Cup winner Alinghi, the Sail Rhode Island Tall Ships event, the AAA All-Star Game, a landmark anniversary of the International Tennis Hall of Fame and other events, the EDC said. It will also discuss all of the underlying forces that are shaping the state.
According to the EDC, the spotlight in the magazine will help spread word that Rhode Island is one of the foremost places to live, work and prosper – whether you are relocating, starting a business or looking to join one.
The Focus “Rhode Island” feature will be a 24-plus planned special supplement devoted entirely to the smallest state and will cover topics such as business growth strategies; economic development; key industry and commerce; conventions and meetings; medical facilities and research; real estate; tourism; education; arts and leisure;and history.
