RIDOT gets $13.5M for Providence ferry terminal upgrades

PROVIDENCE – The R.I. Department of Transportation has been awarded $13.5 million in federal funding to upgrade the ferry terminal at India Point that serves as the docking site for the seasonal Providence-Newport ferry service.  The funding, announced by the state’s congressional delegates on Tuesday, will support the construction of a new, permanent ticketing pavilion
