Robert Samuels has been named director of the counseling center at the University of Rhode Island.
He most recently had worked at Brown University for 15 years, first as assistant director of psychological services and then as associate dean in the office of student life. He also has worked at Williams College and Amherst College.
Samuels has a B.A. from Princeton University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Massachusetts.
