Ron Cavallaro has been appointed general counsel for the R.I. Board of Governors for Higher Education.
He will provide legal advice to the Board of Governors and the commissioner of higher education.
Cavallaro had served as a legal counsel for the R.I. Department of Labor and Training since 1985.
He has a B.S. in political science from Boston College, and law and master’s degrees from Boston University.
