Jacob A. Stevens, III has joined Blount/Barker Shipbuilding LLC as senior vice
president. He will be responsible for all shipyard operations including engineering,
design, labor, purchasing, scheduling, and working with outside contractors. He
has previously served as production and project supervisor at Washburn & Doughty
Associates, Inc. of East Boothbay, Maine and president at Goudy and Stevens Shipyard,
Inc., also of East Boothbay. Stevens graduated from Maine Vocational Technical
Institute and served in the Navy construction battalion at Quonset Point in North
Kingstown. He is a resident of Swansea, Massachusetts.
