EDUCATION:
Stephen Porder has joined Brown University’s Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department as an assistant professor. His research focuses on understanding how ecosystems are influenced by geologic processes. At Brown, he will also be part of the interdisciplinary Environmental Change Initiative and the Center for Environmental Studies. He earned his Ph.D. in biology at Stanford University and did postdoctoral studies in geology.
