PROVIDENCE — Textron announced that it had purchased Tempo Research Corp. of Vista, Calif. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed. Textron announced that it was trying to expand its telecommunications equipment testing for fiber optic, copier and wireless products business through the purchase, Bloomberg News reported.
