What is the biggest challenge currently facing your industry and how are you responding to it? Tort reform, nationwide and locally, threatens to limit (or eliminate) access to the justice system for those injured by another’s negligence. As a member of the Rhode Island Association for Justice and its legislative committee, we are constantly fighting any such efforts in Rhode Island.
What was your first job? I worked as a salesman and mechanic at a local bicycle shop. It taught me more about how to read and work with people than any other position I have ever held.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self? Take the leap; you will land on your feet.
What moment changed your life more than any other? The birth of my daughter, Campbell. Everything I “knew” about myself and my priorities completely changed.
What is your favorite personal activity/pastime away from the office? When I am not spending time with my family, you can usually find me on a sailboat.
