Top executives of Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. to address Gaming Commission

The Rhode Island Special House Commission to Study Gaming will meet Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. in Room 35 in the State House.

Gary Loveman, president of Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. is scheduled to address the commission. Also scheduled to speak are Jan Jones, vice president and David Satz, attorney for Harrah’s Entertainment, according to Rep. Paul V. Sherlock (D-Dist. 30) and Rep. Gordon D. Fox (D-Dist. 5), both co-chairs of the commission.

The commission will continue its discussion of whether the establishment of one or more commercial casinos in the state would cause significant social or economic harm to Rhode Island from lost state lottery income or other gaming revenue.

The event will be cablecast live on Interconnect C-Channel 23 on Cox Communications by Capital Television, the cable television unit of the RI General Assembly. For full cable viewers of Full Channel TV, Interconnect C is Channel 50.
