Two projects advance in Boston

BOSTON – Developers’ plans for two projects in downtown Boston are making progress. On Boylston Street a coalition of neighbors and businesses approved a proposal for a major hotel and residential complex near the Prudential Center. With that approval, the developers are now ready to submit their proposal for 13-story twin towers, housing a 168-room hotel, 48 condominiums, 58 rental apartments, plus retail space, to the Boston Redevelopment Authority for its consideration. Other developers have submitted a proposal for 28-story tower at LaGrange and Washington streets in the center of the former “Combat Zone” to the Redevelopment Authority, the Boston Globe reported. Both projects are in the early stages of development and still face a lengthy review process.
