DARTMOUTH – Approval of a new master’s of science degree in finance was announced by the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Wednesday.

The program targets individuals looking to advance in financial services and banking, among other industries, said Kathryn Carter, dean of UMass Dartmouth’s Charlton College of Business, in an accompanying statement.

As of this addition, UMass Dartmouth now offers four specialized business master’s degrees – accounting, finance, healthcare management and technology management – as well as a master’s in business administration.

Set to launch in the fall 2018 term, Carter encourages both “working professionals and graduating seniors” to apply.
