PROVIDENCE – United Natural Foods Inc. is laying off 443 employees at its warehouse and distribution facility in Sturtevant, Wisc., according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development on March 16. Jobs are expected to be eliminated this summer before UNFI eventually ceases operations at the Wisconsin facility, according to a report by Progressive Grocer.
