UNITED WAY OF Rhode Island unveild its ALICE report at CCRI's Warwick campus Thursday. About 43% of Rhode Island households did not earn enough to cover basic living costs in 2024, according to the findings.

PROVIDENCE – About 43% of Rhode Island households did not earn enough to cover basic living costs in 2024, according to a report United Way of Rhode Island Inc. released Thursday. The report, “ALICE in Rhode Island: A Study of Financial Hardship,” found that 190,530 of the state’s 446,751 households fell below the ALICE Threshold
