Valentino to lead Citizens’ Security Alarm, Not-For-Profit banking groups

CITIZENS FINANCIAL GROUP, parent company of Citizens Bank, has named Mark Valentino head of its national Security Alarm and Not-For-Profit banking groups in Massachusetts.

PROVIDENCE – Citizens Financial Group Inc., parent company of Citizens Bank, announced this week that Mark Valentino has been tapped to lead its national Security Alarm banking group and its Not-For-Profit banking group in Massachusetts.

The Security Alarm group mainly serves security systems companies nationwide and the Not-For-Profit team services the education, hospital and human services sectors.

Valentino joined Citizens in 2015 and has served as the bank’s national sales manager since last year.

Prior to Citizens, Valentino held sales leadership positions in Global Markets and Commercial Banking at MUFG Union Bank. Early in his career, he worked for Bank of America’s Global Corporate and Investment Banking unit.

He is a graduate of Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and lives in Boston.

“Citizens’ Not-for-Profit and Security Alarm banking teams have been very successful at bringing great ideas to clients and providing solutions that help them reach their potential,” said Steve Woods, Citizens’ head of corporate banking. “Mark is well-positioned to draw on his experience and network to bring thoughtful and tailored solutions to clients in these specialized segments.”
