WashTrust announces quarterly dividend

WESTERLY – The board of directors of Washington Trust Bancorp Inc., parent of Westerly-based Washington Trust Co., (Nasdaq: WASH) recently announced a dividend of 21 cents per share for the quarter ended Dec. 31. Shareholders of record on Jan. 5 will receive payment on Jan. 14.
The dividend was unchanged from the previous three-month period.
Meanwhile, the directors at Independent Bank Corp. (Nasdaq: INDB), parent of Rockland Trust Co. in Rockland, Mass., declared an 18-cents-per-share dividend for stockholders of record at the close of business on Dec. 28. The dividend will be paid on Jan. 8.
The dividend was unchanged from the third quarter.
