PROVIDENCE – Webster Bank has named Mimi Rog as its new senior vice president and director of learning and talent management.
Rog will have comprehensive responsibility for strategy and programs related to talent management, professional development, business education, leadership development, career development, and certifications. She will report to Bernard Garrigues, the bank’s chief human resources officer, the bank said.
The Waterbury, Conn.-based bank has 10 branches in Rhode Island and had more than $500 million in deposits within the state as of June 30. Overall, Webster has 154 offices and had more than $21 billion in deposits as of June 30, federal banking statistics show.
“Talent development is a critical element of Webster’s success,” Garrigues said. “Using her exceptional skills and experience, Mimi will spearhead our efforts in core areas where we are making strategic investments – areas that drive both banker engagement and business results.”
Rog joins Webster from a 27-year career with General Electric Co. During her time at GE, she held various human resources leadership roles. Most recently, she was executive human resources partner in GE’s Digital Technology division. Before that, she served as chief learning officer for GE Capital.
Rog, a resident of Fairfield, Conn., has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Allegheny College. She is also a volunteer with the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants.
