LOS ANGELES – Warren-based TPI Composites Inc. has been honored by the American Wind Energy Association with the 2007 Commercial Achievement Award for its efforts to increase the manufacture of wind turbines in the United States.
The award was accepted by CEO Steven Lockard at AWEA’s annual conference in Los Angeles early this month.
“We are honored to receive this award from such a prestigious and important organization in the wind energy industry,” Lockard said in a statement. He added that the recognition “means a great deal to the leadership at TPI, and we are thankful to our many dedicated employees.”
AWEA is a national trade group representing project developers, manufacturers, equipment and service providers, utilities, researchers and others involved in the wind-power industry. It promotes wind as a clean source of electricity for consumers around the world.
