Window maker breaks ground in Fall River

A manufacturer of vinyl windows broke ground Wednesday on a 200,000 square-foot production and distribution facility on a 15-acre parcel in the Fall River Industrial Park.

Silver Line Building Products Corp. expects the facility to employ more than 450 workers upon its completion, according to a press release from the Fall River Office of Economic Development. The New Jersey company plans to manufacture a new line of double-hung windows at the facility.

The office said the industrial park now is home to nearly 60 businesses employing some 4,500 workers. Gov. Mitt Romney attended the groundbreaking.
