PROVIDENCE – The Internet portal of Worldways Social Marketing, a full-service marketing and communications agency with offices in Providence and Denver, was recently honored as the best copywriting and marketing Web site of 2007 in the 11th annual Webby Awards.
Worldways Social Marketing works exclusively for forward-looking, socially responsible companies and is focused on advancing life-transforming policies, programs and products, according to the company.
The Webby Awards, established in 1996, are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. Called the “Oscars of the Internet” by The New York Times, they honor excellence on the Internet, including Web sites, online film and video, mobile Web and interactive advertising sites. This year, the program received a record 8,000 entries, from all 50 states and more than 60 countries around the world year.
“The Webby Awards honors the outstanding work that is setting the standards for the Internet,” said David-Michel Davies, executive director of the Awards. “Worldways Social Marketing’s winner selection is a testament to the skill, ingenuity and vision of its creators.”
