PROVIDENCE – Two Rhode Island television stations were honored with regional 2019 Edward R. Murrow Awards this week.

WPRI-TV CBS 12 received two awards while WJAR-TV NBC 10 received one award this year in the Small Market TV for New England.

WPRI was awarded the regional small market TV award for Hard News for its “The Craig Price Confession” segment and Excellence in Sound for its “Street Stories: Rhode Island Bucket Dreams” segment.

WJAR was awarded the regional small market TV award for Excellence in Social Media.

The awards are selected by The Radio Television Digital News Association. National winners will be announced in June.
