PROVIDENCE – The Financial Planning Association will bring financial planning professionals together outside Washington, D.C., in November for its largest national event, featuring sessions on ethics, career development, succession planning and long-term care, the association announced Monday.
FPA Summit 2026 is scheduled for Nov. 9-11 at the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, Md. The event, formerly known as the FPA Annual Conference, will include keynote presentations from financial planning and leadership experts.
Col. Nicole Malachowski, a retired U.S. Air Force officer and the first woman to fly with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, will deliver the opening keynote, titled “Pushing the Envelope –Being the Best When It Counts.”
Other keynote speakers include Moira Somers, founding partner of Blackwood Family Enterprise Services; Philippa Ham, CEO of Paradigm Norton Financial Planning; and Keith Ferrazzi, a New York Times bestselling author and executive and team coach.
Somers and Ham will present a joint session on ethics, ego and financial misconduct, based on their book, “The Fault Lines of Finance.” Ferrazzi will discuss leadership and professional relationships.
The conference also will feature pre-conference sessions on ethics, working with journalists and using FPA PlannerSearch, a tool designed to connect consumers with financial planners.
Additional sessions will cover career development, succession planning, charitable giving and long-term care planning.
The conference will conclude on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, with programming highlighting pro bono financial planning for military members and veterans. The event also will include an awards reception honoring recipients of FPA’s annual professional and research awards.
