It’s time to celebrate and honor women that are Industry Leaders, Women to Watch, Outstanding Mentors and Career Achievers. Now in its 18th year, PBN’s Business Women Awards Program recognizes dynamic business leaders who have contributed significantly to the local workplaces and communities.
Honorees will be recognized at our annual Business Women Awards Luncheon on May 22nd and will be profiled in our Special Section published on May 23th.
Application Deadline is March 19th. Extensions granted upon written request to events@pbn.com.
Industry Leaders and Women-to-Watch Honorees will be selected in the following organizational categories:
- Creative Services (Advertising, Design, Marketing, The Arts)
- Education (K-12, Higher Education)
- Financial Services (Accounting, Banking, Financial Advisors)
- Health Care Services (Administrators, Nurses, Physicians)
- Nonprofit/Social Services
- Professional Services (Hospitality, Insurance, Legal, Real Estate)
- Government/Quasi-Government
- Technical Services (Architecture, Construction, Engineering, IT, Manufacturing)
Additionally, one woman will be chosen for the Career Achievement Award and one for the Outstanding Mentor Award. Honorees for these two awards should plan to attend the awards ceremony and give a short acceptance speech.

Career Achiever Application
Overall Career Achievement nominees usually have 25+ years in their career, whether
in one profession, or in several positions of progressive advancement. (Preview Application)
Outstanding Mentor Application
The Outstanding Mentor Award recognizes someone who has demonstrably assisted and helped other women advance in business. (Preview Application)

FAQ
WHAT INDIVIDUALS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS AWARD? To be eligible, the nominee must be based in RI or Southeastern MA
DEADLINE? March 19th.
WHO CAN APPLY? Any successful female who is making a real impact on their industry. You can self-apply or applications can be submitted by a coworker, business associate, friend, or family member, or anyone familiar with the nominee.
HOW WILL HONOREES BE CHOSEN? Nominees are chosen through an independent judging process and based on the information submitted. Please be as thorough as possible when filling out the application and include any additional supporting information.
