
WARWICK – The Washington Trust Co. and Cranston-based manufacturer Moss Pure will discuss how small businesses can use Small Business Administration financing to fund expansion at a regional manufacturing summit on Tuesday.
The companies will participate in a panel on SBA 504 financing at the 2026 New England M.A.D.E. Summit in Warwick, the bank announced on Sept 13.

The panel will be moderated by Diane Sturgeon, SBA district director for Maine, and will include Jessica Mello, assistant vice president and loan officer at Community Investment Corp.
Washington Trust structured SBA 504 financing that helped Moss Pure, a manufacturer of living moss air-purifying art installations, acquire commercial space in Rhode Island.
Joseph Confessore, Washington Trust senior vice president and managing director of commercial and private banking, will participate in the panel along with Moss Pure founder and owner Jamie Mitri.
The SBA 504 program helps eligible small businesses finance major fixed assets, including owner-occupied commercial real estate and equipment. The program offers long-term, fixed-rate financing and generally requires less equity than conventional financing.
The New England M.A.D.E. Summit brings together manufacturers, lenders, economic development organizations and other industry representatives for discussions on manufacturing, workforce development, operations and business growth.
